THE PROBLEM:
Many Estate Agents are notoriously bad at defending their agency fee percentage, despite claiming to be good negotiators. This is a disgrace to the professionalism and effectiveness of our industry and directly costs agency businesses millions every years in pure bottom-line profit, as well as market share, to which an ability to defend your fee is directly linked.
The increasing apparent threat of on-line agencies, supermarket initiatives and private seller portals can only serve to exacerbate the problem, with many agents simply failing to defend their commission well enough, because they don’t know how to do so.
